I have always been passionate about photography. Ever since I can remember, I have had a camera in my hand. Many of our family photos that go back a number of years are mine. About eight years I got more serious about it and decided to move into the digital world and really learn how to make beautiful images focusing mainly on nature. My two favorite to photograph: landscape and close-ups that really make people think about what they are seeing.
I purchased a Canon SLR about eight years ago and have upgraded once since then. I took a couple of workshops at Meijer Garden and then really jumped off and went to Peninsula Art School in Door County WI for two back-to-back workshops that spanned a week. Not too long after that I registered for a Chuck Haney workshop in the western part of the Upper Peninsula – Porcupine Mountains. I was hooked! Since then I have taken 8-10 more workshops that have taken me to some of our beautiful National Parks in the west, Hawaii, Portland, OR and the Columbia River Gorge area and return trips to Door County and the Upper Peninsula. I have entered several photography competitions and for several years in a row one or two of my photos have been chosen to hang in a gallery in Fremont as part of a competition.
As soon as I get organized enough I will put links here to images from all of those trips! Here is a start
